An Amazon seller approached BBT to develop a premium copper wall plate for the North American market.

The customer required a product that combined genuine copper material, an attractive brushed finish, reliable surface protection, and packaging suitable for Amazon fulfillment. The product also needed to maintain consistent appearance and quality across repeat production orders.

The Customer’s Requirements

Although the product appeared relatively simple, achieving a consistent premium finish on genuine copper required careful control of the material, tooling, polishing, surface treatment, handling, and packaging processes.

BBT’s Custom Development Solution

1.5 mm Solid Copper Construction

BBT selected 1.5 mm copper material to provide the wall plate with a substantial feel, reliable rigidity, and a more premium appearance.

The material thickness helps prevent the plate from feeling thin or easily deforming during installation and transportation.

Precision Forming and Edge Finishing

The wall plate was formed according to the customer’s required dimensions and opening positions.

Special attention was given to:

• Dimensional accuracy

• Hole alignment

• Edge consistency

• Corner appearance

• Surface flatness

• Installation compatibility

The beveled edge design creates a clean transition between the wall plate and the wall surface while enhancing the product’s premium visual appeal.

Controlled Brushed Finish

A uniform brushed finish was applied to create a refined metallic texture.

During production, BBT controlled the brushing direction, surface consistency, and handling process to minimize visible differences between individual units. This was especially important because surface variations are more noticeable on genuine copper products.

Protective Oil-Sealed Surface

Copper naturally reacts with air, moisture, and fingerprints. To help preserve the finished appearance, BBT applied a protective oil-sealing treatment after brushing.

This treatment helps:

• Slow down surface oxidation

• Reduce fingerprint marks

• Protect the brushed texture

• Maintain a more consistent appearance

• Improve the product’s presentation during storage and delivery

Because genuine copper develops a natural patina over time, the surface treatment and care instructions were considered as part of the overall product solution.

Packaging Designed for Amazon Fulfillment

The surface of a brushed copper product can easily be scratched or marked if the packaging is not properly designed.

BBT therefore developed retail packaging around the product’s material characteristics and Amazon distribution requirements.

The packaging solution was designed to:
